Prompt 2.

The past few months have been a complete rollercoaster for me. Tons of ups, downs, and everything in between, with nearly no room to breathe even in the weeks I was looking forward to relax in. For the last 8 months, I have been preparing the 3rd Movement of the Bruch Violin Concerto for the Senior Concerto Competition at Troy High this Wednesday (and I'm super nervous).

So how does Siddhartha relate to this at all? That's a good question. I feel like I'm in a loop every week, sort of like how one reads the ending of Siddhartha by going back to the beginning. Sometimes there are highlights, but they are far outweighed by what's in the everyday. But unlike the idea presented in the novel Siddhartha, my life is about to take a complete change from everything I've known, and I'll be living a different one in just a few months time. Going back to the original question, I feel that now is the most important time of my life, and the decisions I make will not only change my trajectory but how dynamic my life is. One moment cannot replace a lifetime filled with adventure, spent with family, or having fun. I don't think anyone is completely satisfied where they are--and really they're not supposed to be. I couldn't really live with being stuck at the same spot, with the same ideas, making the same mistakes. However it's good to leave something alone that doesn't need to be changed, such as how much one works, or the car they drive, or the house they own; just don't go to the other extreme.
